What we do

How We Clean Solar Panels

Dust, pollen, bird droppings, and wildfire ash cut into solar output — and in the foothills, buildup happens fast. We safely remove residue and restore efficiency.

Panels are cleaned with deionized water and soft brushes. Deionized water has had its minerals stripped out, so it dries without leaving the spots that ordinary hose water leaves behind — which matters on a surface whose whole job is letting light through.

No harsh chemicals, and no pressure washing. Both can damage the anti-reflective coating on the panel face, and pressure washing risks forcing water past the seals. We stick to manufacturer-approved methods so your warranty stays intact.

Good to know

Solar Cleaning Questions

How often should my solar panels be cleaned?

Twice a year is the sweet spot for most foothill properties. If you're near a vineyard, orchard, or dirt road, or had heavy wildfire smoke in your area, more frequent cleaning will meaningfully improve output.

What cleaning products do you use on panels?

For solar panels we use deionized water and soft brushes — no harsh chemicals that could damage the panel coating or void your warranty.

How quickly can you come out?

Most residential jobs can be scheduled within about a week, depending on the season. Commercial clients typically get on the schedule within a few business days of approving a quote. Call for current availability.

Do you clean ground-mount and commercial arrays?

Yes: rooftop, ground-mount, residential, commercial, and agricultural. Ground-mount and commercial installations are quoted after a quick site review.

Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?

Always. We arrive fully equipped — you don't need to provide anything except access.

What happens if it rains?

We'll reschedule solar cleanings at no charge if weather rolls in.

Eight arms. Full output.
